I checked out a Bad Ass, ice water that can kill??? and Fabes disappears...

So it's been a super awesome WEEKEND! Caught some Black Eyed Peas action - Fergie btw was super duper massive hawt! Happy Birthday Arthur!

From Blog Pictures

Awww... isn't Fergie HAWWWTTT... and then it ended with a BANG! Literally!

From Blog Pictures

I have never been so closed to fireworks before. That would have cost Arthur at least 50,000 ringgit...

Then of course, the following day I checked out the Subaru Palm Challenge. 40 contestants - 10 finalists who will move on to the next round in Singapore - where ONE would pickup a BRAND NEW Subaru Impreza!

It might not seem like much but under the hot sun, body of the car absorbs the heat and in minutes - it's literally FRYING! Fabes tried and he couldn't even last 6 seconds! I tried and I lasted 15 - well, it's just obvious who's the better man :P heheh...

Then under all that heat, I decided to chill at TGIF... asked for a HUGE glass of ice water - checkout the cup size!

From Blog Pictures

That's HUUUGGGE! Look how small the lighter is compared to the 'goblet'? it's freaking HEAVY as well - this thing can KILL!

That same night Jules suggested that we checked out a brand new coffee chain called Bad Ass Coffee... and man, I checked out and I felt BAD ASS!

From Blog Pictures

I'm a huge coffee lover so the recommendation was GREAT! They had HUGE donuts and the drinks...mmm... had a strange but good coffee after taste - I went for the Raspberry and Cream Signature Coffee... Verdict? I LIKE.

After having the coffee, I was home - wasn't sure if it was the coffee but my dog looked at me strangely... I must have looked BAD ASS :)

And latest update from the Fly FM Studio - we had a blackout around 8am this morning!

From Blog Pictures

Thanks to the wonders of technology, we were kept ALIVE... via UPS - Uninterruptable Power Supply - only problem, Fabes disappeared... (if only he smiled - did he?)

Alrighty... that's my update for the weekend... more coming soon! Comment away ole' chappities!

Massive food binge, gigantic curry puffs, and I get fed by an unknown hand... :)

So the Raya weekend came and went... it was AWESOME knowing that I had Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday off... so here's how I spent it.

I checked into a hotel in the heart of KL and pretended to be a foreigner... I left my car in the basement and NEVER took it out throughout my stay! It was AWEEESSSOOOMMMEEEE... very relaxed... very chilled... Stella and I being our kiasu selves made sure we took as much bottled soap, moisturizer and shampoo we could find... at 1 point, I had 6 bottles of these things WOOHOO! Love freebies.

Anyway, firstly I've got the highlight one of the first few homes I visited... I drove all the way to Semenyih... checked out the 'kampung' scene... complete with live stock running from one end of the kampung to the other...

Here's the spread!

More update soon ole' chap.. :)

Ayam a.k.a Jules and Prem from Fly FM Rush Hour's pet chicken has been kidnapped!

So if you don't know who Ayam is... TADA!

From Blog Pictures

We found the poor fella stuck deep in a DARK cabinet and we felt REALLY sorry for him. It's no wonder why tweets started coming from the dude saying 'cluck! cluck! it's dark in here - HELP!' - yes, Ayam has a twitter account as well - it's @ayamisme. So go ahead and add him for the latest updates.

So here's what we did... since we care about ayam, we decided to kidnap him and get Jules & Prem a little concerned...

We took good care of ayam... for instance, we fed him Marshmallows...

From Blog Pictures

Gave it a REALLY nice bed to sleep on - complete with belly movements, background music... and even comes with breakfast in bed... (the marshmallow)

From Blog Pictures

Ayam was sooo happy, he even danced with us...

So here's the deal we made with Jules & Prem - if they really want Ayam back, they've got to meet our demands - 1 week worth of breakfast from the both of them AND for one day - they've got to mention "We Fly FM Pagi Show - they ROCK!" - during their show every time the mic is turned on.

From Blog Pictures

That was printed yesterday... it's the 17th... they haven't said anything... done anything... do they REALLY still want Ayam? :)

Looks like Ayam will be spending Raya with us! What you say Ayam?

Cluck Cluck! <- Hey! He said AWEESSSOMMMEE!

Selamat Hari Raya, eat loads, drive safe and remember not to play with fire crackers!

The Birthday Torture... or so it seemed...

It's a FLYDAY! Yay! Just one day after my 27th Birthday... Woke up yesterday, felt ABSOLUTELY GREAT. Went to work and strangely... no one mentioned anything to me... apart from Fabes who uttered - "Happy Birthday"... without much of a conviction and Nadia who read an SMS wishing me so she 'casually' wished me - then it was brushed off.

6am passed, 7am passed, 8am passed, 9am passed... I announced to the world it was my birthday on radio... STILL NO REACTION from Amrita the producer or the rest of the guys...

The team meeting came and went... it was already 12pm... then it was the Fly FM Station meeting... everyone was there and I was pretty sure I prepped everyone telling them it was my birthday on the 9th... STILL NO ONE UTTERED A WORD! I was in the studio till 3pm - left for lunch ALL BY MYSELF... then I told myself... well, SCREW it... it's MY BIRTHDAY, I'll treat myself to an awesome lunch... went to 1 Utama and thought maybe Basil and Hafiz would still be around since the station meeting just went by and their shift starts at 8. Called Basil and I was invited... STILL NO MENTION... until I had to say it "ITS MY BIRTHDAY TODAY!" - they looked surprised... I was puzzled... but hey, that's where the journey began and I had my mini afternoon celebration...

Then I thought, this COULDN'T BE. The guys can't be this heartless... I'm sure they've got something up their sleeve. I called Stella to check if the guys preplanned anything and the answer was "nope" and I Went for my 1-on-1 dinner with my love later in the evening... IT WAS NOTHING LESS THAN FANTABULOUS and the CAKE!!! SUPER AWESOME!!!

From Blog Pictures

Ahh... Love... :)

Escargots baby!

Lobster bisque ole' chap? Topped with black lustrous caviar!

From Blog Pictures

and for main course, US Prime Rib Eye Steak - medium well... I don't like to see blood.. :)

From Blog Pictures

and the SUPER SUPER DUPER ALAMA BAMBA cake!

After a GREAT night... I kept thinking... I'm sure there's something that was going to happen. After numerous calls to Fabes with him assuring that NOTHING was going to happen... I was imbalanced... maybe they were being mean, maybe they forgot or maybe... just maybe... something would happen...

So true enough, at 9am this morning... I REALLY NEEDED to answer nature's call - yes, it's the combo - BIG & SMALL but the guys insisted that I stayed in the studio... the mic came on and VOILA! Birthday song... birthday message from the guys and gals in the station... MASSIVE iPhone CAKE! and even a present from Fabes! WOOHHOOOOO!

From Blog Pictures

The iPhone cake!!! If you're wondering, it's SUPER MOIST chocolate on the inside... Jules' mum baked this!

From Blog Pictures

a better view of the cake...

For all that, though it seemed mean at first, I have to thank EVERYONE involved... Fabes, Nadia, Jules, Prem, Hafiz, Basil, Hunny, Steve and especially AMRITA the producer of all producers... she the da bomb... who made all this happen. I feel soooo touched... THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU - you guys are the best team I've worked with and of course, I musn't forget the gazillions of people who wished me happy birthday on Facebook and Twitter... you guys ROCK! and made the 'torture' less painful... :P

I drove a tank + an imposter?

Monday is here... Time for another recap of the weekend... So here's what happened, first I checked out a tank!

It's the Hummer baby! You would have seen this car in episodes of CSI. This thing is huge but you'd be surprised by the way it handles! It's bathed with all the luxuries of a modern vehicle, automatic lights, some funky munky sound system that'll blow your mind, truck loads of safety features and best of all, all these things come standard! It's one of those cars that shout out loud - look at me! look at me!

Apart from driving a tank, I also checked out the latest, greatest Nokia N97! I'll leave my review, rants and raves to one of my future entries - but one thing I really really enjoyed about the phone was the camera. More on the technical details later but what I want to really show off are the shots...

One of my dogs named "Garfield" why? He's got a bit of a personality issue... he thinks he's a cat since young

Father's day lunch! It was almost like a 'see how much food you can put on your table' competition!

Then...from the same N97 photoshot collection I caught this...

An S240... really? Here's a car trying to be a Mercedes Benz. Why try? You should be proud of your car! Your time will come... Stay true to yourself man... Plus, it's not a bad car you're driving! :)

Oh by the way, another free plug for my twitter :) follow me on twitter, lookup "benjern".

Till my next blog update!
