It's a back-to-back birthday celebration weekend. First it was my dog's girl girl's (last post - below) and today is my mum's birthday. Thought to myself, how to celebrate the person who brought me in to this world? Let all the world + the cyberspace know!

It's official, my dog, Girl Girl turned 21 yesterday - that's in dog years of course. I was told that you get a dog's real age by multiplying his / her age by 7. Since it's her 3rd birthday, that makes her 21!

For a 21 year old, Girl Girl has certainly accomplished alot! She got a planned marriage to Puffy (far left dog in the following picture) and thereafter, had 2 litters - 6 pups in total!

Wazzup! So what happened this week in general? First, Nina one of my colleagues at Fly got sick, then one of our audio engineers go sick, then I got sick. It was a sickly week. I have a strange feeling this flu bug is galavanting around - making many people sick. There were people sneezing and coughing wherever I went, in the train, in the cinema, at the restaurant... all I can say is LOAD YOUR BODY UP with Vitamin C; and I don't mean eating oranges all day long, go get those tablet / capsule / efferverscent type. It will keep you nice and happy. The virus looks at it like 'garlic' for vampires :).

That aside, I've got to talk tech again. By now, everyone should know what Gmail is. If not, which part of the tempurung have you been hiding under? Gmail, in my humble opinion is the BEST web mail service in the world developed by the infamous search engine - Google! It will be the only e-mail account you'll ever need. Google's motto for Gmail is that you'll never ever EVER need to delete your mails thanks to the increasing storage space. Believe it or night, even as I'm typing this blog or as you are reading this blog, the storage space for every Gmail user is increasing. In short, you'll never run out of space! Want an account? Logon to www.gmail.com.

Enough of all the talk about Gmail - the whole idea is to talk about something I found that would compliment existing Gmail users. If you have a Gmail account and a mobile phone, you'll LOVE this. Why mobile phone? That's because Gmail has gone MOBILE. Yes, imagine, searching your Gmail account, sending out e-mails, receiving mails, going through your list of Gmail contacts through your mobile phone. In case you are wondering, I'm not talking about "m.gmail.com" where you can access Gmail through the WAP browser on your phone. I'm talking about a REAL LIFE application. Something you can download and install into your phone. This little application for your mobile phone is SO fast, simple and efficient that you wouldn't believe it.

We all know that iTunes has been steadily growing in terms of market share when it comes to choice of Media Player for the PC. One of the reasons behind this growth is due to the popularity of it's iPod player that talks to Apple's very own proprietary Media Player - iTunes.



Since then, Microsoft's Windows Media Player has been losing popularity and have responded with their latest media player - Windows Media Player 11.

I was one of those people who migrated to the world of iTunes after purchasing an iPod but Microsoft might just have done it this time.

Windows Media Player 11 spots a hugely refined interface, a search engine that is certainly faster and more efficient that Apple's iTunes PLUS it doesn't only play music and videos but acts as a slideshow player for pictures stored in your computer as well!

Good job Microsoft! Oh by the way, if you fancy a copy, download it today!

Yes, the unofficial Smart club of Malaysia - actually; more like the first Smart club in Malaysia known as Smart Gang Malaysia recently celebrated it's first anniversary in Penang. We had about 40 Smart cars of various types, the fortwos, the forfours and the roadsters. There were competitions involving the cars such as driving around with a cup filled with water - the team with the most water left in the car wins! (see pic below).

The main highlight of the event was the convoy. Imagine, 40 Smart cars, lined up in a line and did a round island tour. We were escorted by Police and Superbikers, all traffic lights disappeared that day - it was one heck of a run!

Naturally, I was part of the action... how can I miss a SMART car event? :)

Here's an updated that is long due... yes, I promised this update long time ago.

Just a short intro, the pics in this post were taken in Penang where I was treated to the delicacies of Penang... It was a lovely, food eating + holiday + birthday escapade! Start salivating now... :)

Yes, it's been a long time. Yet again... Yes, I know what you are saying; and here I go on and on again with my reasons for not updating my blog regularly.

In short, there's been quite a bit of change in my life; career wise, time zone shift wise and schedule. I've been placed pretty much in a 'nice' comfortable IT zone for sometime now - quite a bit has changed (not that I'm leaving IT behind - I've got my ways of keeping it in touch), as I have somehow blended my life with that of the radio entertainment industry.

It's not like I have never been in the radio industry before, as a matter of fact; more recently, I had part-time shifts - mostly on weekends. The career change however, has brought me even closer to the world of radio broadcasting. Two words to describe the whole experience would be "hectic" and "fulfilling".

Ok, enough of my career change and all, so what's been happening? Any pics? Plenty... will be posting more as I go along...
