Ayam a.k.a Jules and Prem from Fly FM Rush Hour's pet chicken has been kidnapped!

So if you don't know who Ayam is... TADA!

From Blog Pictures

We found the poor fella stuck deep in a DARK cabinet and we felt REALLY sorry for him. It's no wonder why tweets started coming from the dude saying 'cluck! cluck! it's dark in here - HELP!' - yes, Ayam has a twitter account as well - it's @ayamisme. So go ahead and add him for the latest updates.

So here's what we did... since we care about ayam, we decided to kidnap him and get Jules & Prem a little concerned...

We took good care of ayam... for instance, we fed him Marshmallows...

From Blog Pictures

Gave it a REALLY nice bed to sleep on - complete with belly movements, background music... and even comes with breakfast in bed... (the marshmallow)

From Blog Pictures

Ayam was sooo happy, he even danced with us...

So here's the deal we made with Jules & Prem - if they really want Ayam back, they've got to meet our demands - 1 week worth of breakfast from the both of them AND for one day - they've got to mention "We Fly FM Pagi Show - they ROCK!" - during their show every time the mic is turned on.

From Blog Pictures

That was printed yesterday... it's the 17th... they haven't said anything... done anything... do they REALLY still want Ayam? :)

Looks like Ayam will be spending Raya with us! What you say Ayam?

Cluck Cluck! <- Hey! He said AWEESSSOMMMEE!

Selamat Hari Raya, eat loads, drive safe and remember not to play with fire crackers!

Introducing... AYAM...

You see, in Fly FM, there's a lot of love... and once in yellow moon, we get a new brother... his name - AYAM!

In case you don't know who ayam is, he's a production of Jules and Prem from Fly FM's Rush Hour - yes, the very same people you listen to from 4-8pm on weekdays. Why a chicken? I can't tell... why is it featherless? I don't know...

So anyway, today, Ayam joined us for a meeting for the very first time... He was very equipped, had a pink phone (no one knows why pink), a notepad which and a pen.

From Blog Pictures

When everyone (Adam, Hunny) was deep in thoughts... ayam looked on... staring at me...
or perhaps the wall... or maybe he was just staring...

Then while Jules and Prem went out for a bit, Hunny and Nadia became his babysitter.

From Blog Pictures

Again, Ayam was staring at me... while the other two got mesmerized by some imaginary object...

Lunch came... and he ate... rice with heap loads of chilli flakes... here you see Prem feeding his baby...

From Blog Pictures

and he ate... (btw, that's a plate of unagi) - chicken is a 'fishetarian'

From Blog Pictures

Awww... like father like chicken...

From Blog Pictures

Isn't that love? :) Keep the comments rolling in!

Something grows on top of Fabes, surgeons in Genting and a phone inside a shoe!?

So it's Tuesday AGAIN! Seems like there has been quite a number of public holidays in Selangor... last Monday was Merdeka... yesterday was Nuzul Al-Quran...

Anyway, here's an update of what happened over the weekend. Let's start off with Flyday... Fabes had this strange face on and all of a sudden... something started growing on his head!

From Blog Pictures

But if you look closely, it's not just golden hair... but it's got a face too - ooh! it's the Amrita pimple growing on top of Fabes!

From Blog Pictures

Don't you agree Fabes does look strangely good with looonnng female like hair? Maybe he was born a girl :P

Then it was time for lunch (still Flyday)... went out with Fabes and Amrita... I was telling them a story of my life... how bees and trees go together... how nice and brown the table was... how much it looked like amrita's hair colour, how amrita and fabes matched... and GUESS WHAT? THEY IGNORED ME and went on Twitter instead... tsk tsk tsk.. talk about COMPANY!

From Blog Pictures

Saturday came and I decided to be a little bit more adventurous - UP TO GENTING HIGHLANDS I GO! Stella and I being our kiasu-selves turned into walking surgeons...

From Blog Pictures

On the way back... the mist was horrendous!

From Blog Pictures

and it got even more worse...

From Blog Pictures

and EVEN more...

From Blog Pictures

then Sunday came and my sister showed me the latest trend, a mobile phone in a crocs!?!?

From Blog Pictures

That wraps it up :) More soon! Oh yes, and do send comments, I'll try to reply to most! :P

Gosh! I never knew how much they looked alike!

Got this e-mail comparing a sesame street character and a ROCKSTAR - Steven Tyler!

Steven Tyler from Aerosmith

and...

Miss Piggy from Sesame Street!

Gosh! I never knew how much they looked alike! Enuf said... :)

I really have no idea what to title this picture...

Was going through some of the pictures in my picture gallery and saw this!

From Godiva with a strange forehead

One of my dogs - named "Godiva" - why? Coz Stella my wife thinks she somewhat represents that symbol for one of the most celebrated chocolate brands in the world...

So here's Godiva checking out my digital camera a few years back. She decided to parade around with the Camera's sticker on her forehead... what shall I title this picture?

When a man becomes a woman and when a gorilla-like creature turns into a man

So the news is out, I got myself and iPhone 3GS... I just missed it... really, the iPhone by far has the BEST operating system out there hands down and of course, what really makes this phone for me is it's thousands of thousands of applications out there that are readily downloadable from the App Store! I'll be doing a very FAIR comparison between my new baby iPhone 3GS and my other baby the Nokia N97... but in the mean time, I downloaded an app called the iSwap Faces for the iPhone and did some MAGIC... :)

Here's Hunny Madu and our audio engineer dude Naga...

From Blog Pictures

And voila... Naga turning into Hunny and Hunny into Naga... we call this the Naga Hunny Pic!

From Blog Pictures

Then there's our BIG BIG boss, Mr Seelan Paul... he was chilling with his gorilla-like picture... so I took a picture of him... and his... erm... mate...

From Blog Pictures

Then I decided to give each of them a face lift...

From Blog Pictures

Aww... aren't they pretty..? :P

What can you get nowadays for 1 ringgit?

So I was out having breakfast... being me, a breakfast must be complete with half boiled eggs, possibly nasi lemak, toast bread and perhaps a very nice cup of ice coffee or tea or cham (coffee+tea).

Breakfast came and my toast didn't come with kaya. I asked for some kaya and the waiter said - "sir, it'll cost one ringgit... will it be okay?" - I said "sure... no problem"...

It came and here's how it looked like...

From Blog Pictures

This is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! 1 ringgit... for this SMALL TEENY WEENY cup of kaya! It's an outrage! To make it worse, it wasn't even filled up to the rim!

I went to the boss and went "Hallo boss, one ringgit sooooooo little ah?", she chucked and gave me a teeny weeny bit more... I gave up and scooped out every bit I could...

Well, that's what 1 ringgit can get you nowadays...

What have you gotten for a buck?

Rare scene - Fly FM Pagi Show's gender goes WONKY?

So here's a video which I recorded a while back. I was contemplating to upload it or not... but HECK... it was a torture by Fly FM Rush Hour's Prem because we lost in Fly FM's Back To School... Fabes and I (ahem) took it like a women while Nadia took it like a man...

Before you hit the play button... you might want to take a breather... it might cost a certain level of 'uncomfortableness?'...

Presenting...
Phat Fabes a.k.a Fabulous Fabes
Ben a.k.a a very lost Indian Auntie
Nadia a.k.a an Australian man who sounds like a chick...

It was TORTURE I TELL YA... TORTURE!!!...

Seelan Paul, my boss turned into a VERY VERY VERY HAIRY BEING...

Seelan's been missing in action for a few days now. No one knows what happened to him and his Personal Assistant has been keeping mum about it...

The theories...

Liverpool lost in a some match somewhere and he's hiding in a hole somewhere bawling...

He got kidnapped by Aliens

He coloured himself blue so that he could blend nicely with his room's wall...

BUT all theories were DEBUNKED when I saw THIS!

From Blog Pictures

It's OFFICIAL! He is a chewbacca from Star Wars in disguise! I always knew something was 'strange' about him... mmmm...

Then we took a closer look...

From Blog Pictures

Ah HA! Debunked yet again! It's just a cardboard...

More questions emerged since then...

Why was it a cardboard?

Why did he pick chewbacca?

Did he turn into a cardboard?

Questions left unanswered... if you have ideas, let me know...

The King of Pop leaves us + how someone beats the CR*P out of a DJ

4am... alarm rang, woke up, what started like an ordinary day was not ordinary at all... 6am the show began... 15 minutes into the show and a call came in... one of our listeners asked if we knew that Michael Jackson has indeed passed on... we just laughed it off... then everything became a standstill... Nadia checked online and it was true - Michael Jackson has indeed passed on... at the age of 50 of a cardiac arrest. The studio was in complete shock - the entire show was changed to a Tribute to Michael Jackson...

Unlike popular belief, cardiac arrest is very different from a regular heart attack. A heart attack is usually caused by blocked arteries while a cardiac arrest is caused by stress - the heart couldn't take it so it prematurely stops.

Honestly, it could be the stress of his comeback concert, his new album, his monetary problems, the bad flack he's been getting from the media... it's all of that... lesson here is - take things easy. Life is short. Make the most of it because you never know when the end is. Michael, may you rest in peace and thank you for all the great music and good deeds you've done to this world...

On a lighter note... someone tried to beat the CR*P out of the Radio DJ...
and I've got proof...

I've got a REALLY REALLY REALLY kiasu neighbour

We all have neighbour stories. I'm no exception. You probably have heard it over the radio a few weeks back when I spoke about it... but this time, I've got proof...

You see, my neighbour - let's call this person... well more like a neighbour who is a few doors away has his / her home perched right at the end of the road - therefore he / she thinks that the ENTIRE stretch of road at the end belongs to him / her.

This person has placed cones to cordon off the area and has irritated lots of other neighbours - some claim that their cars have been scratched when parked in this 'area' - it's all an assumption of course with no solid evidence.

It doesn't really affect me as I've got my own lot and I'm quite a number of houses away from him / her. What you see above is what happened recently, someone decided to topple the cones... just for the heck of it!

This must irritate the sh*t out of him / her :)

And no... it's not me :P

Strange phenomenon + toilet speak

Strange phenomenon
So this is what happened to me this morning. It started off like a regular day... entered the studio, show started then it started happening... I started talking - then I couldn't seem to find words!

Strange thing is, I knew what I wanted to say, how I wanted to say it but the words just couldn't come out - my tongue was all over the place... but thank goodness, this thing only lasted in spurts from 6-7am... everything became normal... maybe I need to scrub my tongue, maybe I need to sleep more, maybe I need better breakfast, maybe I need a nicer - softer chair to be on, maybe it's because I accidentally stepped on my dog's furry tail... maybe I'm just me...?

Unbelievable? Believe it! - fooiyoh, like Ripleys...

Toilet speak

I'm sorry but I've go to talk about this. You see, at Sri Pentas - on Fly FM's floor, the toilet is designed in a rather peculiar manner - the male toilet's main entrance is directly opposite the female toilet's main entrance and often times, both toilet's main doors are WIIIIDDDEEE open...

So today I dropped by to deposit some items... while depositing, I heard this massive conversation going on... two women gossiping about what to sell, what to buy... so after I was done, they were STILL GOSSIPING... but the strange thing was, I only saw 1 woman - and NO, I was not peeping... it was right infront of me.

The only logical explanation I think is that the other woman is in the comfortable locked up environment of the cubical while having a MASSIVE GOSSIPING session with her friend who is standing outside... why was she in there for SOOOO long? I don't know... why was she gossiping while doing whatever she was doing in the cubicle with her friend who is standing right outside the cubicle's door, I don't know... what do you think? :)

Nose digging is an art - of getting the FLU!

I've been thinking about this for awhile... digging the nose... it's an art... and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the HUGE number of nose digging pictures available online - of politicians, celebrities, monkeys, unknown individuals - you name it, the web's got it!

Some people do it soooo well, they become instant celebrities!

So anyway, stop pretending as though it disgusted you - everyone - me, you, my dog, my ex-pet hamster - every living thing has booger of some sort and we've found our ways through nature to relieve us of such 'particles'... :)

Humans as we know use our fingers... yes, some of us have slender ones that can go REALLLLLYYY deep into never never land... some have fat ones... but nonetheless, it's always the finger.

What's the deal?
Why blog about it? You see, for quite sometime now, we've heard SOOOOO much about the H1N1 flu and how we should avoid it etc. I remember reading an article about how humans can contract the flu - whichever strain it is - so long as we touch our mouth, rub eyes (in particular) after touching something that has been exposed to the 'virus' - we would have contracted the virus through our 'exposed' senses? I'm no doctor but I hope you get the idea.

The logic
So the logic is, if you shook the hand of someone who has the flu, touching your eyes or face is a bad idea. Imagine touching the 'virus' and then DIGGING your nose... that's worse - it's like jabbing the virus straight into your skull!

The lesson
The lesson? Do not dig your nose if you've been out for a prolonged period of time. The virus could be anywhere - the escalator, the lift buttons, the rails, your friend's hand, your phone... you get the idea :)

The final art
Wash your hands right before you attempt the art of 'digging' to be safe... enjoy the diggathon!

The art of 'strange' hugging

Once in awhile, strange things tend to happen, you see opportunities... opportunities to show the world that we human beings are not perfect... and that opportunity came.

I'm not sure if it was the back-to-work Monday stress but Fabes & I hugged...

Problem is, it wasn't just any other hug - it was a 'strange' hug. A HUG is defined as "embrace: squeeze (someone) tightly in your arms, usually with fondness" by the good ole' Princeton University.
Now with that definition in mind, take a look at this picture...

hug

That certainly doesn't depict what was defined. Squeezing? I was more like resisting. Tightly in my arms? well, more like a tight face - and trying our best to keep away from each other. Fondness? Just look at my face and see how fond I was...

Yet, we called it a hug... Maybe that's how men hug each other. We humans are a strange species.

A weekend of giant cats, balls, flour and toilet faces...

So here's my weekend in a nutshell... it was Cleo's Bachelor Finals - congratulations Henry ole' chap - he was crowned Cleo's Most Eligible Bachelor of 2009... since the place was artsy fartsy, I went ahead and started taking pictures using my camera phone...

Is that artsy or is that artsy? :) It's amazing what camera phones can do nowadays... then the weekend came and I went to Melaka to host an event for MMU Melaka the land of chicken rice BALLS... but of course, no visit to Melaka would be complete without the balls...

Oh by the way, in case you decide to checkout the Chicken Rice Ball stalls at Jonker Street - you'd notice 2 prominent ones. One at the end of the road (corner stall) and one that looks fancy smancy... go for the one at the end of the road - it's BETTER... in my honest opinion...

Then Sunday came, drove all the way back to KL to checkout BSRA-NST Streets Family Day 2009 at SMK Bandar Sunway...

some had flour all over them...

Hunny and I decided to do something less 'floury', played with 'words' and checked out a pussycat instead...

Then today came (Monday)... I arrived at the studio and everyone had strange faces - it looked as though they needed to go to the loo for a BIG one (you know what I mean...)

Here's Fabes... who looks like he's got a beak

Nadia who looks like she's got something REALLY BIG coming out of somewhere...

Amrita our producer who looked like she was replaying Beethoven in her mind to loosen her bowels...

So there you go... more updates soon.... comment comment comment away... I'll try my best to reply! :)

THE ANSWER YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR...

My last entry showed you a disturbing image...

So you've been waiting... for the untrained mind and eyes, it might look disturbing... some on my Fly blog said sea cucumber, some said strange food... and the answer is...

It's amazing how cookies looked like before they were 'beautifully' carved into blobs of round pastry...

WARNING! : Very disturbing images...

I know I hardly write short blog entries but here goes... if you haven't read the warning - WARNING! VERY disturbing images ahead...

It was just a few days back when all of a sudden 'someone' showed me THIS...

This was what I looked like after seeing it...

And no, that's not how I usually look... what was it? think deep... think darkest deepest... think strange... perhaps even think sick... mmmm....

I'll reveal the answer in the next entry :)
